BIO

When Ron B. Arnold took over Saab at Ally & Gargano in 1981, the brand sold about 2,000 cars a year in the United States. Five years later it sold 65,000.

That pattern held. He came up at Doyle Dane Bernbach on Volkswagen, Avis and Chivas Regal, moved through Scali McCabe Sloves, Della Femina and Chiat/Day, then spent seven years as partner and executive creative director at Lord, Dentsu & Partners, where the work ran from AT&T and Peugeot to the Partnership for a Drug-Free America and Earth Day USA. He closed the agency chapter as Executive Creative Director Worldwide at Saatchi & Saatchi, home of the Cheerios Stories campaign for General Mills. In between he ran his own consultancy for seven years, taking assignments from Ogilvy, JWT, Y&R and Grey on American Express, MasterCard, Kodak, De Beers, UPS and Ford.

Since 2021 he has worked as an artist and creative consultant. ChatGPT and Midjourney are his creative department now, used daily across fine art, client work and social content, with a growing pull toward storytelling in film and short form. He founded QUIXOTE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and divides his time between Laurel Canyon and Block Island, where he leads a grassroots campaign to keep the island's natural beauty intact.
